Owned and operated by a fully qualified chef with 25 years in the industry providing a massive range of hand made cabinet food, takeaways and heat and eat meals including our Famous Mexican Chimichangas.

Best burgers in Auckland. They serve the most amazing burgers, which you'd be paying $30 for in a 'classy' restaurant. Absolutely recommend if you are looking for wicked burger creativity and a good, genuine kiwi sense of humour and hospitality. I have been several times and not once been disappointed! If you live anywhere in Auckland, it's worth the trip.

Big J’s never disappoints! Their buns are very fresh and soft, and the fish is nicely battered. Not to mention their chicken salt fries are to die for. They tend to be quite busy so I recommend calling up and making an order as there is usually a 30 minute wait. Despite this there has never been a mistake with our orders and the staff are always friendly and cheerful.

We feel so lucky that Big Js is our local! Always amazing food, friendly service and very well priced for such quality food!

Missioned it all the way from New Lynn to try this place. Did not disappoint. Burgers were amazing, chips and onion rings perfect. Was really good value for money. Service was good too. Would not hesitate to come back. 10/10

Have been searching high and low for a good steak burger joint and this right here.....oh my just hit every spot! Thank you for the delicious steak burger for only $9.50!!! I've paid more for way less. Highly recommended. My new favorite spot 😊

Finally made it to this place to try one of their burgers - totally worth the wait. I had the burger of the week which was the relish it (garlic marinated chicken breast, sautéed onions, streaky bacon, camambert, pesto aioli, balsamic beetroot relish, lettuce, tomato, and topped with beer battered onion rings) and a scoop of chips. Awesome meal, will be returning soon 🙂

Best burgers and takeaways in Auckland. Heaps of stuff like the patties and sauces are made from scratch by the team and it shows in the quality. If you go to Big J's, you won't be disappointed.

Underrated local gem. They may look like an ordinary takeaway joint from the outside, but the food and service are far from being one. The burgers are made to order and the kumara fries are one of the best we've had, period. The quality of these burgers are easily priced 2-3 times more if served at a restaurant. The fish burger, beef burger and steak burger are some of our all time favourites.

Went here again last night after not being in ages. Still hands down the best burgers in Auckland. Only got a cheeseburger because I couldn't decide what to get after staring at the board for ages and didn't regret my choice at all. Also, hands down best kumara chips/ wedges I've ever had. If one was in west Auckland I'd be visiting way too often

My hubby and I came here for the first time and had the burger of the week! It was massive and delicious! I would recommend this store to my family and friends, even the chip servings were a really decent size for the price!
